Quirky and full of character, this former chapel in the Warwickshire countryside features a stunning ensuite for rest and relaxation, designed by Ripples Solihull.
Period properties are often sought after for their character, architectural features and quirky details. This Victorian chapel set in the heart of the Warwickshire countryside offered its owners the vast, open space and the potential abundance of natural light they craved along with plenty of original features to play with. The brief for Ripples Solihull was to design an ensuite that was modern and future-proof, taking into account the owners’ early retirement age and any future needs. The bedroom is situated in the eaves of the property and is open to the ensuite so the challenge was to increase privacy without blocking any light from the windows. The solution was to include a practical walk-in shower teamed with double countertop basins and sleek, streamlined storage with a half-height modesty wall to conceal the WC. To enhance the light, a core colour palette of neutral shades from Little Greene and plenty of reflective surfaces help to keep the interior bright and airy.
