Penny tiles steal the show in this spacious en-suite bathroom. Once a popular tile of the Victorian era, now reinterpreted in a new layout creating a playful, monochrome bathroom floor.
Stylist and influencer Emma Thatcher was hoping for a relaxing retreat with class and glamour. Designer at Ripples Reigate, Jo Sangster, selected brushed brass metalware to deliver these must-haves. This finish is a nod to the vintage glamour and the addition of the roll-top bath in jet black is an inviting space to slip into at the end of a busy day.
To bring the entire look up to date, Jo incorporated Crittall-style shower glass and a plain, white metro tile as a simple backdrop. The overall effect is a striking modernisation of Victorian interiors with plenty of practical storage space for everyday use.
