Leanne Robey, Senior Designer at Ripples, introduces us to latest trends in bathrooms and it seems colour is bursting at the seams. We're not talking complete avocado suites, instead choose stand-out shades for essential pieces.
1. Special finishes
There are many choices of bathroom brassware, but it's clear that gold is shining through. Whether brushed or polished, this trend is hot on basin mixers and showers, so step away from the safety blanket of chrome and add a luxurious touch to your room.
Don't leave the accessories till the very end, they are an easy way to add a pop of colour to the room. Pop into the showroom and we can show you the variety of accessories that are available from bold, matt black shelves to toothbrush holders in Pantone colour of the year, Living Coral.
3. Basins, Baths and Radiators
Leanne says "You don't need to go OTT, a subtle way to inject colour is to opt for a bright radiator but don't be afraid to choosing a pastel painted bath or dark green basin either". At Ripples, there is a wide variety of products available in any colour of your choice, our favourite being the freestanding boat bath. And, if you want a raw, industrial vibe pop in and take a look at our stunning blue concrete basin, we guarantee you'll fall in love.
Go beyond the comfort zone of whites and greys. Don't be afraid to go for dark, bold colours, even if you have a small bathroom or cloakroom. Our designers can help you choose the right size furniture and we can even design bespoke pieces so to achieve the overall look you've dreamt of.
Take inspiration from the 1920's and opt for scallop shaped tiles in emerald green or bring your splash back to life with chevrons in blushing pink, this will bring depth and subtle glamour.
